Injured in the Glilot terror attack on October 27, Dina Yafe was pulled from beneath the truck with a pelvic fracture. Now confined to a wheelchair, she is undergoing intensive rehabilitation at Reuth TLV.

Dina recalls the attack, “I was overseeing a trip to the Intelligence Heritage Center as the activities coordinator for a retirees club. The trip was supposed to take place in September but we postponed it because there was rocket fire in the area. We were standing on the side of the road and I saw a truck make a U-turn nearby. I was making final arrangements with the tour guide when I suddenly realized that the truck was coming towards us. He was rushing to run us over and I thought: What should I do? Who should I warn? Everyone next to me fell. There were people on top of me and the truck was on top of all of us. I could hear shooting around me and I was so scared. I was looking around to find my husband. Luckily, he escaped with just a small injury to his hand.

Here at the hospital, I am surrounded by people who genuinely care and want to help. They see all of me, not just my injury. I’ve been through many challenges in life, and with every hardship, I gain new understanding of what’s important.”
