Quality of Life Program

Hospitalization is physically and emotionally taxing. In addition to experiencing physical pain, patients face the prospect of never regaining functional independence. Stays in rehabilitation hospitals such as Reuth TLV are especially difficult because they tend to be months long.

Reuth TLV’s quality of life program aims to enhance our patients’ emotional wellbeing in addition to their physical health. The program consists of two elements:

  • Complementary therapies: These enable patients to improve their motor and cognitive skills as well as process their emotions in a non-clinical setting. Reuth TLV offers six types of complementary therapies as part of the patients’ official treatment plans: gardening therapy, animal-assisted therapy, music therapy, spiritual guidance, drama therapy, and guided meditation.

  • Afternoon enrichment activities: While the patients’ mornings are packed with medical and paramedical treatments, their afternoons are usually free, leaving ample time for the onset of boredom, anxiety, and even depression. To prevent these negative consequences, Reuth TLV organizes enrichment programming in the afternoons, including motivational lectures, exercise classes, holiday celebrations, beauty treatments, and more.
